   This area has received in the XVIII century by two Swiss painters who came here to the open air. They liked it so much mountain and forest landscapes that were very much like their homeland, they decided to stay here forever, saying that I had found my Switzerland.

   This amazing area stretches for 9 km along the coast between the towns of Perros-Guirec and Trébeurden. The collection comprises numerous granite boulders of different shapes and unusual pink color, although their tone is very much dependent on the weather.

   Many millions of years ago the territory of modern France overlooking the sea, and at its bottom was formed of limestone deposits from the remains of animals. Later the African tectonic plate pushed European, former seabed rose up and became mountains.

   In the spring the national Park "Dwingelderveld" turns into a huge purple-pink carpet. It blooms fragrant Heath — plant, loving the wet Heath, and that such areas are protected. Just 100 years ago, a huge Heather field met throughout Germany, Belgium and Holland, and today there remains very little.
Here you can meet the other plants that in other circumstances simply can not survive.
