Travel to France. PINK GRANITE COAST

This amazing area stretches for 9 km along the coast between the towns of Perros-Guirec and Trébeurden. The collection comprises numerous granite boulders of different shapes and unusual pink color, although their tone is very much dependent on the weather.

In the bright sun, they become brown-red, on the background of the curdled clouds are painted mauve, and sunset cast incredible fiery red.

The original touch of local granites is due to the impurities of feldspar. The boulders that lie on the coast, was formed about 6 million years ago. Then at a depth of about 6 meters of solidified magma turned into a layer of granite. Then the topsoil vanished under the action of erosion and the ocean level rose after the ice age.

Pressure on the lower layers of granite dropped and they split, forming shapes of unusual forms. In further waves put your hand to the improvement of the stone statues, and today on the pink granite coast, you can see the boulders, with those names: "the three-cornered Hat of Napoleon", "Tilted clogs" and "Turtle".
