The Brocken (1141 m) is a slice of Iceland, hidden in the center of Germany. Related to this Northern country with a harsh climate and weather extremes: 306 days a year the mountain is shrouded in mist and 100 days covered with snow. The average annual temperature at the Broken not up to +3 °C , and the winds blow at a speed of almost 300 km/h.
Not coincidentally, this eerie mountain was selected Goethe as a place for a coven of witches in the famous "Faust". If you happen to be here, cold foggy day, it's easy to understand that the best spot for the evil forces will not come up.
