Travel to Italy. THE BEACH OF "SCALA DEI TURCHI"

   On the Italian island of Sicily located amazingly beautiful beaches, the most unusual among them "Scala dei Turchi". This is a huge white cliff of margalita — durable limestone material, which is water and wind over the years has formed a rounded stage. 

   They say that it is even possible to climb to the top of the mountain, while looking at the steep slope, believe in it with difficulty. But to walk the stairs in dry weather it is real.

   The name of the beach translates from Italian as "Turkish steps". It appeared not by chance: once upon a time this rock landed the pirates, which the local population takes over the Turks. 

   Nearby are deposits of healing salts, so that the beach can be combined with Wellness treatments. With two sides from the "Scala dei Turchi" is located two sandy beaches, and nice weather, tourists enjoying the clear waters of the Mediterranean sea.

The plane from Rome to Palermo — from 40 € one way; 

then bus/ train to Agrigento is about 10 €, 2.5 hours.

The beach is about 10 km from the city.
