Puy-de-dôme (1464 m) is a rather young volcano, which adorns the French Department. This volcano was revered by the ancient Gauls, who built on top of the temple. Later on its place the Romans built the temple of mercury Domishko. Exactly with him link the origin of the name of the volcano: the "Puy de dôme" in French means "the mountain Cathedral".
